  2. After downloading the executable files, if the file is not running change the executable permissions to execute the files using the following command: chmod 777 filename
  3. The contestants will be given the executable file and the input format will be given for each question. The participants will have to try various inputs on their own and figure out the logic behind the question. After figuring out the logic, the contestants will have to type an efficient code as to pass all the test cases. Contestants will be placed on the leaderboard based on the time of submission, correctness and efficiency of the solutions.

  5. The .out files link will be uploaded here at 6:10 pm IST on 21/9/2018 before the contest. So please do check here before the contest to download the files.

Prizes

  • Prizes worth 14k

  • The first two prizes are for the top two participants on the leaderboard irrespective of whether they participate online or onsite. The third prize will go to the top onsite participant not in the first two places in the leaderboard. The prizes are awarded after checking for any Plagiarism.

  • First Prize: INR 7,000

  • Second Prize: INR 4,000

  • Third Prize: INR 3,000

  • To be eligible for prizes the participant must be enrolled in a University.

  • In case of any problems , the decision of the organizers will be final and binding.

Rules

  • The creator of this contest is solely responsible for setting and communicating the eligibility requirements associated with prizes awarded to participants, as well as for procurement and distribution of all prizes. The contest creator holds HackerRank harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, costs, awards, settlements, orders, or fines.

  • Plagiarism or Cheating in any form will not be tolerated. The event organizers have the power to disqualify any participant if they resort to any unfair means.In case of any Plagiarism detected, the prize will automatically go the next participant on the leaderboard.

  • Unfair means include Copying, sharing of Code , Discussing with fellow participants, using any notorious softwares etc. Please think logically that discussion, copying of codes will only reduce your chance of winning. So please participate fairly, Have Fun and Get ready to reverse Code.

  • Results will be announced after checking for Plagiarism. All the participants will be notified by mail after the contest.

Scoring

  • Each challenge has a pre-determined score.
  • A participant’s score depends on the number of test cases a participant’s code submission successfully passes.
  • If a participant submits more than one solution per challenge, then the participant’s score will reflect the highest score achieved.
  • Participants are ranked by score. If two or more participants achieve the same score, then the tie is broken by the least time taken to submit the problems.
