Rules

  • The creator of this contest is solely responsible for setting and communicating the eligibility requirements associated with prizes awarded to participants, as well as for procurement and distribution of all prizes. The contest creator holds HackerRank harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, costs, awards, settlements, orders, or fines.

  • Timing:10:00AM to 1:00PM (30-03-2019)
  • TYPE: SOLO EVENT
  • Contest will be hosted on Hackerrank (https://www.hackerrank.com/programmatics-saavyas)
  • 5 questions will be asked:
    • 2 easy 25 marks each
    • 2 medium 50 marks each
    • 1 hard 100 marks
  • Participant with highest score wins. If there’s a tie, winner will be decided based on time of submission i.e. the participant that will submit first will be the winner.
  • Participants must sign up for the contest on Hackerrankbefore it begins. (No entries will be allowed once competition starts)
  • On the spot registration will stop 15 minutes before the contest begins.
  • Participants have to be present in the lab during the contest 10 minutes before contest begins.
  • Participants may bring their own laptop.
  • Participants must solve the problems in any browser in full screen mode.
  • Participants cannot bring any notes to the contest room.
  • Blank sheets of paper and pen will be provided.

Scoring

  • Each challenge has a pre-determined score.
  • A participant’s score depends on the number of test cases a participant’s code submission successfully passes.
  • If a participant submits more than one solution per challenge, then the participant’s score will reflect the highest score achieved.
  • Participants are ranked by score. If two or more participants achieve the same score, then the tie is broken by the total time taken to submit the last solution resulting in a higher score
