StagePage is a startup which provides personalized recommendations for live art events. Built their core product: a recommender engine. • Designed the engine model’s structure for ranking items • Applied statistical algorithms to tackle infrequent users’ tastes and cold-start problem • Ensured high performance across different KPIs using different metrics for models’ evaluation • Generated negative observations using Negative Sampling technique • Delivered a prototype Recommender Engine for live testing • Transformed into a production-ready Recommender Engine to serve more than 50 festivals such as Toronto Fringe Festival connecting thousands of customers to hundreds of events
