Responsibility: • Used Spark and Cucumber to implement automated testing to do big data validation. • 70% time in hands-on and 30% time in leading team, such as project management, teaching and mentoring newcomers. Accomplishments: • Originally, data pipelines are deployed via Rundeck which lacks automated testing to validate data between stages. Plus, it is implemented by shell script which is hard to maintain and configurable. I was assigned as a project lead to replace Rundeck with GitLab by leading team to implement new mechanism which is configured by YAML and easy to do automated testing in 2020. • Reduced provisioning time in development and testing environment from 1 hour to 5 minutes via Terraform in 2021. • Aced all the AWS associate level certifications in 2019, and one professional level certification in 2021. Coached company-wide colleagues to ace AWS certification to achieve 25% rate of the annual goal in 2021. • Aced two Kubernetes certifications in 2021 and initiate a plan to migrate applications deployed in ECS to EKS.
