During the Google Summer of Code 2024, I focused on developing Monumento, an open-source social application designed to enhance user experiences in exploring and sharing landmarks. The core objective was to create a platform that seamlessly integrates augmented reality (AR) technology with social features, allowing users to visualize 3D models of historical and cultural sites directly from their mobile devices. To achieve this goal, I employed a Domain-Driven Design (DDD) architecture, ensuring a robust and scalable foundation. Flutter was the chosen framework for developing the cross-platform application, enabling a unified user experience across mobile, web, and desktop platforms. The Bloc state management pattern was implemented to effectively manage application states, while Firebase provided a reliable backend for database management and authentication.
