Communicated with customers via email and phone, touching 10-15 issues per hour. 60% pertained to network connectivity as Linode is largely an IaaS. The rest concerned Linode Manager and services, setting up LAMP/LEMP, email, and proxy servers. Created scripts using basic troubleshooting commands (mtr, telnet, ping, iptables, netstat, dig, top, ps, free, cat, grep, etc.), improving personal workflow. Member of the Linode Managed Team, promptly responding via SSH to internal services (such as Apache, Nginx, MySQL, Memcache, etc.) resolving 90% within 5 minutes. Diagnosed specific ArchLinux networking issue within Linode's network, presenting a solution to both customers and network engineers within the hour. Acknowledged and resolved alerts via Nagios regarding Linode's infrastructure. Participated in weekly meetings to discuss major issues and solutions within the Linode network, utilizing Jira and Basecamp to track and resolve. Awarded the MVP award in March 2016 for outstanding customer service and a valued team player. Considered LPIC-1 certified under Linode's in-house training program.
