 April 2007 – March 2010, Some PhD courses at the Faculty of engineering, Computer Sciences and Intelligent Systems Department, Oita University, Oita, Japan Activities (besides coursework and lectures): ï€ Designed and developed algorithms and software components resulting in four (4) papers published (See below section RESEARCH PUBLICATIONS) ï€ Developed various controllers in the Webots environment (robotics computer simulations software, C programming) embedding algorithms developed for robotic control over several projects with the real KHEPERA robot of CYBERBOTICS Ltd. (educational robotics company). Examples: the LEGO MINDSTORMS robot fitted with a camera above for recognition of its vicinity, the KHEPERA robot of CYBERBOTICS Ltd. (educational robotics company) fitted with a front camera and an arm for seizing small loads. Both robots were respectively tested in specially built enclosures.  2007 Master of Engineering in Intelligent Information Systems, Oita University, Oita, Japan. Activities (besides coursework and lectures): Teaching Assistantship for the undergraduate course of robotics, Faculty of Engineering, Oita University (October 2006~ March2007) ï€ Assisted undergraduate students in testing their controllers (programmed in Java and C language) on various robots for simple tasks like obstacle avoidance etc. ï€ Oversaw a dozen of undergraduate students’ projects, assisting them in writing their reports and presentation material for the final defense.
