Worked on a couple of projects. 1. NextGen Firewall (Stonesoft) : Firewall with deep packet inspection, which enables protocol and application level policies to be applied. The main aspect of NGFW is to have a high throughput and high-quality IPS engine. - Standalone desktop java swing application, Used to create and add policies on to firewalls for regulation of traffic. - J2SE, swing, MySQL, Rest are the few that were touched in the limited time span for a quick delivery. 2. NSM (Network Security Manager) NSM is the managerial part of NSP. NSP is an Intrusion Prevention System detecting and preventing attacks in East-West traffic and North-South traffic. NSM plays the role of a handler to a number of NSP boxes assigned to it and applies policies on them. - Worked majorly on the backend, that touched upon SQL querying, Java layering, import/export functionality. - [Sustainance] Module CADS (Cloud Analysis and Deconstruction Service) which runs on CentOS. It is mainly a gateway to all file-based malware scanners. - Module owner for UDS: Handling attacks that are specific to customers. Fixed several bugs supporting this functionality along with SNORT variation. - Module Subscriber: Deals with the virtual distribution of a sensor with a policy enabled at different levels. Product Developer Order Promiser is an order fulfillment product. It takes care of updating the inventory and order with the items on the list. My responsibility was to take care of the Order lines, line items, and schedules. Worked mostly on the back end arranging the schedules from different inventories of a single order. Also handled some UI JS fixes.
