Work Experience

  • Postdoctoral Associate

Baylor College of Medicine•  December 2023 - Present•  Houston, TX

Development of genetically encoded voltage indicators (GEVIs) to study electrophysiological activity in the brain. Worked on the optimization and high-throughput screening of GEVIs, such as FORCE2, and improvements in photostability and brightness. Contributed to the creation of a single-cell screening platform to study response variability in neurons, with an emphasis on achieving higher assay throughput and precision. Provided technical guidance and mentorship to students and collaborated with colleagues on various projects.

  • Postdoctoral Associate

Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute•  January 2023 - December 2023•  San Diego, CA

Development of Genetically encoded fluorescent biosensors for epigenetic landscape imaging. Creation of stable cell lines with inducible expression of developed biosensors. LiveMIEL experiments combined with Drug-screening.

  • Junior Researcher

Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology•  November 2019 - December 2022•  Moscow, Russia

Development of fluorescent indicators for quantitative measurements of intracellular parameters (pH, Ca2+) for FLIM microscopy. Development a technique for ultra-high diversity combinatorial labeling of cells with fluorescent proteins in tumor models (FLIMbow).

  • Associate Professor

Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology•  March 2020 - December 2022•  Moscow, Russia

“Molecular biology” for third year bachelor students - lectures and seminars. “Genetic and genomic engineering” for foreign students - lectures.

  • Researcher

Shemyakin and Ovchinnikov Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry, RAS•  November 2020 - November 2022•  Moscow, Russia

Study of photobiophysics and photobiochemistry of fluorescent proteins. Development of novel fluorescent proteins for FLIM microscopy.

  • Junior Researcher

Shemyakin and Ovchinnikov Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry, RAS•  April 2020 - November 2020•  Moscow, Russia

Development of novel fluorescent proteins with increased photostability. Development a cell media for long-term fluorescent imaging. Development of genetically encoded electron-transfer chains based on fluorescent proteins.
