Working as part of a remote based team, to develop digital solutions for clients around the world. I am responsible for technical decision making around the CoronaFigher Enterprise solution, which is a serverless, event-driven, multi-tenanted and distributed system, and I am the point of contact for the developers of the project. I fulfil some product owner responsibilities and interface with the sales team to better understand the requirements of the customer, and translate that into a development workload. Although there are multiple projects on the go, my primary focus is on developing the backend for a multi-tenanted enterprise solution to help combat COVID-19 in the work place. Working as part of a Cape Town based team, building and maintaining various applications. Mostly developing in NodeJS with TypeScript and deploying into an AWS environment with our GitLab pipeline. A project I spearheaded myself was building a notification system that would integrate with 3rd party SMS providers to send out notifications to clients. Working as part of a team in Cape Town to build and maintain the core payments engine for iflix global. Primarily working with TypeScript to develop RESTful API's that can facilitate payments, handle the billing of users and manage user subscriptions and entitlements, which is deployed to either AWS or into our Kubernetes cluster. One of the projects that I worked on was a new billing system dubbed Smart Billing. It aimed to dramatically increase the number of successful billing relationships we had with our various customers through dynamic, efficient and innovative billing patterns.
