Network Engineer

- Communicate with customers and local exchange carriers through verbal phone calls and written emails. - Remotely log into routers and switches in order to research network issues and identify problems such as malfunctioning cards, damage to fiber cables, configuration issue on the router, or loss of power to the equipment. - Consult with higher tier network engineering teams when problem is beyond my skill set. - Perform troubleshooting with local exchange carriers if the cause of an outage is not within Level 3 network. - Train new employees on how to investigate network outages and how to properly update customers.
