all bangladesh asteroid search campaign•  January 2022 - May 2022

"All Bangladesh Asteroid Search Campaign" is a unique international platform created by "BANGLADESH ASTRONOMY RESEARCH COLLABORATION (BARC)" for Bangladeshi students and amateur astronomers across Bangladesh since 2020. "BARC" is the only organization in the history of Bangladesh that has been allowed to launch this international campaign nationally in Bangladesh. We conduct this campaign across Bangladesh in association with "International Astronomical Search Collaboration (IASC)." In this campaign, students get real-time astronomical data from the "PAN STARRS TELESCOPE" located in Hawaii, USA. They use a 1.8 m (60 inch) telescope to survey the sky to look for comets, asteroids, and Near-Earth Objects (NEO). Students get training from the expert on this project. They contribute to their research through advanced data analysis and specially designed software. Students discover "Main Belt Asteroids" from this campaign which contributes to the "Near-Earth Observations (NEO)" Program at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (Pasadena, CA). This campaign is funded by NASA. Through this campaign, the students get access to high-quality raw images, which are otherwise not accessible till the postgraduate level. So, they can get real-time experience in astronomy research. They get an experience of how basically astronomers do research in this field.
