Performed various measurements using x-ray reflection/diffraction for the physics department and used spectroscopy to measure bandgap differences in topological insulators ranging from 2nm to 10 nm thick. For the physiology department, I organized an experiment to use lasers to get live imaging to measure the effects of antidepressants in the hippocampus. I did this by researching the procedure and contacted vendors previously unused by the university to negotiate and purchase the equipment. I helped write the protocols and went to the meetings of review to get them approved. This ended when all the equipment was there for a post-graduate student to perform the required experiments.
