Client: Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida | Project: My Blue Service (MBS) Project Description: MBS is a front facing application that allows members to register/login to access their insurance details such as claims, benefits, ID Card and dependent information etc. The project involved a full life cycle implementation of a Knowledge Management Solution for integration and reporting of point of member data across the website for complete Florida State. Responsibilities: • Enhancement of the DEEP libraries with new mechanism like Event engine and Event audit. • Created a custom responsive web application to replace a legacy line-of-business web application using Angular JS. • Developing and designing SPA user interfaces in Angular.js. • Worked on Front end by using Angular Js, JavaScript. • Implementing the new message retry mechanism using kafka in the event of any failure in the downstream systems. • Rest services templates are generated using swagger specifications. • Development of new listeners for producers and consumer for both Rabbit MQ and Kafka. • New library development with micro services architecture using Rest APIs, spring boot. • Enhancement of the existing functionality to persist the messages to Cassandra DB in Kafka. • Implementation of Hystrix circuit breaker to avoid loss of messages during handling of messages at the consumer level. • All logging into splunk. • Perform day to day administration of the Service-Now tool Maintain business services and configuration item relationships in Service-Now tool. • Implementation of Zuul proxy as the API gateway. • Test plans and Unit Testing using Junit and Mockito. • Support multiple internal teams including database team by performing database migration and testing team by conducting unit testing, consolidating defects, and fixing anomalies. • Provide support for MBS releases and monitors site health through Google Analytics and splunk. • Quickly learn new technologies such as react, mongo dB, OpenShift platform and provide research updates to Architects.
