Brought on for a full stack project to support the Promoted Inventory team after official offer was rescinded due to COVID-19. Created a web application in ReactJS and Node.js that interacts with a PostgreSQL database through a REST API Java Spring Boot) that serves as a way for users to organize their favorite restaurants and orders. Wrote a Python script to scrape OpenTable’s databases for restaurant information to serve on the web app.

Undergraduate Research Assistant

Working to investigate probabilistic machine learning and differential privacy under Professor Daniel Sheldon. Presented findings to a panel of research faculty members at UMass Amherst. Designing a neural network using Python to create differentially private synthetic data sets. Currently working on optimizing the differential privacy of data by creating sufficient statistics using factorization to decrease sensitivity and increase coverage of privacy. Utilized symmetric quantiles to increase differential privacy coefficient by 15%.

Software Engineer Intern

Used ReactJS and the react-bootstrap library to implement design specifications (user login, company feed), debugged existing implementation to decrease user crash rate by 30%. Utilized Firebase’s real time database to create a new schema for storing user profile and company data, reducing the depth of the database to 2 levels, increasing query speeds.
