At EQUIS labs, I developed Unity Games, that integrated stationary bicycle pedal speed and bluetooth heart rate monitors as game inputs, as part of a series studies exploring the design of exercise video games for individuals with gross and fine skill deficiencies. I, and a team of grad students, developed a series of seven games for use in these studies. Additionally, developing the Libraries and Extensions to the Unity Engine required to read data from Cadence monitors and wrist mounted Heart Rate monitors, and expanding on the Lidgren C# library to further optimize our over the network communications when running these games with larger player cohorts in multiplayer gaming sessions. During study periods, I worked on our setting up our database servers and writing code to manage and process raw study data into useful research data.
