At Landis + Gyr I have been given the opportunity to develop a number of skills all across the stack. I was first tasked with working on our user interface using Javascript and ASP.NET, but then transitioned to test case automation with Robot Framework. Now, I am primarily writing C# in the application layer while occasionally delving into the data layer when debugging, in addition to working with our QA Engineers to troubleshoot issues across our distributed components.

While I was at OLIS I was first introduced to the .NET Framework and taught myself how to write code in C#. I was able to quickly pick up on the language due to my previous exposure to Java during college. I was responsible for creating a custom driver that we used when upcycling the Hewlett-Packard HP 8453 Diode Array Spectrophotometer. I was able to read data off of the machine via serial port or ethernet cable, both input methods were supported.
