At Platform 45 I am currently filling the role of a backend engineer. I work in a large team with a lot of experience in the industry of developing quality software, most of the team members work remotely or they are in a different city/country. I am currently assigned the task of developing a treasury and billing system for one of the bigger ticketing companies in South Africa using Ruby on Rails as a development framework.

At Zapper I filled the role of Android Team Lead on the Mobile Wallet. I work alongside a small, energetic, agile team tasked with developing digital money products for markets in Europe, Latin America and the United Kingdom. These include a mobile augmented value store and web-based merchant and gaming operator products. Responsibilities and/or deliverables include: Research and development of new features Third-Party integrations impact analysis and resource requirements. Production support. Play store deployments Firebase and Play console maintenance. Crash monitoring via fabric and firebase.

Whilst at Kineto Mobile I filled the role of Java Developer and work alongside a small, agile team tasked with developing banking platform solutions for markets in Africa. These include ATM systems and kiosk systems. Responsibilities and/or deliverables include: Create and maintain client specific Crystal Reports, Maintenance of IBM db2 databases. Implementation of third-party integrations and new feature development on Java Kiosk application. Maintenance of credit card payment devices including implementation of custom firmware. Creating j2me version of the kiosk application for featue phones.
