Work Experience
Software Engineer
JP Morgan•  February 2022 - Present
As a Software Engineering graduate at JPMorgan, my day-to-day tasks involve many aspects of delivering quality code to production environments, ranging from hosting Agile ceremonies to delivering full-stack software solutions for our various use cases using technologies such as Python and React.JS
Software Engineer
Capital One•  June 2021 - September 2021
During this summer internship, I worked on two different projects. The main piece of software that produced for the company was a Java-based AWS Lambda. The second piece of work was a contribution towards the Capital One developer API project used by students at hackathons, where Python was the main technology in use.
Junior Data Analyst
Vodafone•  July 2019 - July 2020
As part of the Vodafone Big Data and AI team, my work fell under the umbrella of Data for Social Good. My main projects included an epidemiological study of Mozambique's spread of malaria, which lead to a further similar study of the spread of COVID-19 through Europe. My contributions to the mentioned projects ranged from data standardisation to deep data analysis with the use of Python (PySpark, Pandas, Numpy) and Jupyter Notebooks, while contributing occasionally in front-end development in React.JS.
Operations and Project Coordinator
Agility Sciences LTD•  September 2018 - December 2018
My internship at Agility helped me gain more perspective over the term of "blockchain", what it represents and who is involved in it. As a fresh second year student, I was in charge of organizing events within the company and managing the HR system, but I would peek every now and then at what the software engineers were doing.
Software Engineer
Smithfield Foods•  July 2016 - September 2016
This internship helped me learn about databases in SQL and helped me put the bases of working with them, which a few years later came in very handy for university. During those months I got a training in database systems and I am proud of what I learned here.
Software Engineer
Saguaro Technology•  July 2015 - August 2015
I was offered a three-week internship at Saguaro with the purpose of learning the basics of debugging. Eventually I ended up building a game similar to Nintendo's Duck Hunt in C# together with a colleague of mine, learning what a class is and how to code using object oriented programming.
