Work Experience

  • Cloud Software Developer Intern

    IBM•  May 2018 - August 2019

 Worked as part of the Identity Management team to maintain and improve security and authorization algorithms to assign permissions to IBM Cloud resources  Deployed Security Microservices that uses token authentication, authorization, and encryption techniques to provide secure access to Cloud services  Developed efficient parallel computing algorithms to process large traffic of authorization requests, improving performance by 750%

Education

  • McMaster University, Hamilton

Electrical and Biomedical Engineering, BE•  September 2015 - April 2020

A one of a kind 4-year multi-disciplinary engineering program with a 16-month co-op, where students complete core Electrical and Computer Engineering courses and applying them to tackle problems in Anatomy, Biology, Organic Chemistry, and medical practices as a whole. Throughout the program, students are encouraged to tackle medical design problems and apply product design methodologies to the group projects. Microprocessor systems engineering design project: Finger pulse sensor Designed a finger Pulse sensor using an Arduino microcontroller and an LED sensor. A signal threshold detection algorithm implemented in MATLAB is used to filter, display and calculate the heart rate. Stopwatch Logic design in Quartus : Designed a double-digit stopwatch using logic gates in Quartus, which was outputted to two 7-segment displays. This project required a lot of debugging due to the size of the Verilog project being and the number of logic blocks used for the task.
