Work Experience

  • Computer Science Head Undergraduate Teaching Assistant

    Duke University•  August 2018 - Present

I began working as a teaching assistant in August 2018 with the primary roles of teaching discussion sections, holding office hours, and grading projects and exams. In August 2019, I was promoted to the role of Head Teaching Assistant, which adds additional responsibilities of scheduling forty TAs for discussion and office hours sections, communicating regularly with course professors and staff, and handling students' regrade requests.

  • Software Engineering Intern

    Google•  May 2020 - August 2020

During my second summer at Google, I worked as a SWE intern with a focus on Site Reliability Engineering. My project was to resolve a critical failure point in one of the internal tools, where if someone submitted a call that was too large to process, the tool crashed for everyone trying to use it. I developed an interface for the SWE and SRE teams to submit cancellation requests, then added the cancellation code to the existing Java project for the tool.

  • Engineering Practicum Intern

    Google•  May 2019 - August 2019

I worked at YouTube headquarters creating a performance dashboard to display changes in code performance to front-end developers! Additionally, I received a Code Health award for my work to fix code health problems in the YouTube front-end codebase.

  • Software Engineering Intern

    Fidelity Investments•  May 2018 - August 2018

At Fidelity, I worked on automatic code generation to improve the speed at which new developers can create Java files. For this, I used Java to create a front-end interface where team members can input relevant data. Then, I output automatically generated files into a folder of choice! I also worked on a tool that automatically parsed existing code to remove dead code and commented out code to improve code health.
