During the first year of the Ph.D., I successfully develop and optimized a new process to produce new material. This work led to 1 article publication and 2 conference presentations (Saint-Quentin, France, and Catania, Italy). During the second year, I further develop new applications for this material and the major success was the creation of a new statistical model able to describe and predict the physical properties of the materials that I produced during the first year. This work led to 1 article publication and 1 conference presentation (Daytona, USA which is the most important conference in the world for this type of material) I'm now in the third year and last year of my Ph.D. working mainly on the development and optimization of a new manufacturing process and further optimization of the statistical model developed the previous year with the implementation of ML algorithm

PhD Visiting

University of Oulu•  November 2022 - March 2023

During the third year of the Ph.D., I was invited to the University of Oulu (Finland), to conduct some research on the development of a new manufacturing process for new green material. Throughout an extensive use of R and Python for data analysis, based on a design of experiment approach, I was able to optimize the process and the material properties.

I was involved in a European project aimed to build an Ecosystem for the up-scaling of lightweight multi-functional concrete and ceramic materials and structures. My responsibility was to develop a new characterization method for advanced ceramics materials. The biggest achievement was the development of a new compression test procedure to characterize ceramics foams
