-Refactored the entire Asp.net core system that was having problems with code quality and scalability and redesigned the database structure to fix improper data modeling. -Replaced the manual deployment process with an automated CI/CD pipeline and included automated tests that were missing in the initial version. Integrated the system with a chat and video chat platforms. - Rebuilt the front-end that was using Razor Templates to a faster and much more responsive ReactJS application, which improved the sign-up flows and overall user experience (95% of the users finished the sign-up process that required a few personal data inputs - previously 55%). - Created tests infrastructure on the back-end and end-to-end UI testing using Cypress. - Main engineer responsible for the whole technology infrastructure in Brazil. - Built a backend to handle student enrollments and manage payments, maintained marketing web pages, automated marketing campaigns, analytics, and integrated the local infrastructure with some of the microservices developed by the US team. - These allowed rapid experimentation and together with data we collected, we could grow the number of enrolled students from zero to 30k+. Using Optimizely I also created A/B tests that showed improvements in conversion metrics up to 95%. - Among 300+ employees, I was awarded the Audacious and Humble award as a recognition of my performance as being the only engineer supporting the entire Brazilian operation for the first 6 months.
