Created models based on seismic data. Modeled refraction and reflection statics. Received, cleaned and prepared seismic data and supporting documentation to be imported into proprietary seismic processing software using Python/Pandas and Linux batch files. Text mining and processing from field reports and other sources. Data visualization to aid with data analysis and presentations using Python/Matplotlib and the proprietary Insight geophysical software. Geophysical processing of seismic data including statics modeling, velocity modeling and noise removal. Prepared and presented project process to clients during weekly meetings. Prepared final reports and seismic data for delivery to client according to industry/client standards. Automated simulation tasks to distribute computational volume over multiple CPU’s and increase efficiency 5x in a Linux server environment. Used ObsPy/SegPy/Python and SU to interact with the SEG-Y format seismic Big Data. Developed Linux code to automate/create novel animations to be used in customer presentations. Used Python to transform coordinates of seismic data between different map projections and create KML (GIS) files. Used SQL to analyze TBs of geophysical data.
