As a consultant developer at Thoughtworks, I have had the opportunity to work in different teams on different projects and with different tech stacks. This varied experience has been valuable and has made it clear to me how important ways of working are in supporting cross-functional, high performing teams deliver a quality product. Working across the full stack, we use trunk-based, test-driven development with pair programming and feature toggles to enable continuous integration of reliable code. I have also participated in threat modelling sessions, to help ensure the security of our code, as well as discoveries, inceptions and planning sessions to ensure the solutions we build meet our users’ needs.

iO Academy•  August 2021 - December 2021

I completed the Full Stack Track course in software development at iO Academy. During my time there, I worked on a number of projects, both individual and in a scrum team. I also had the opportunity to be the Scrum Master for one of our team projects which was a really rewarding experience. In these projects, I used version control (GIT), implementing a team branching strategy, performed code reviews (and had my code reviewed), and enjoyed both navigating and driving when pair programming.
