Big Data Engineer

In Data Reply I've been engaged in several big data projects for our clients. Projects were either in cloud or on-premise. Here are descriptions of some of them: Develop AWS-based solution for monitoring fleet of industrial machines. AWS IoT and AWS Lambda have been used for developing scalable data ingestion and processing pipeline. AWS Elastic Service has been used for scalable data storage and search. NGINX was utilized for creating lightweight and high-throughput reverse proxy service. Develop solution for continuous data ingestion from various sources with data visualization and explorative search. For this project, I've utilized full Elastic stack (ElasticSearch, Logstash and Kibana) along with MySQL. Several scripts for data processing stages have been written in Python and Painless (Java based scripting language from ElasticSearch). Developed data delivery pipeline from Amazon RDS to Amazon DynamoDB.

I was part of Log Insight team. Log Insight is a distributed log analytics and management solution from VMware. I was responsible for addition of new features to data collection agent of Log Insight, which is a standalone cross-platform native application written in C++(11). I also designed and implemented internal cross-platform tool for in memory log data extraction from nested archives and its ingestion to Log Insight Server. Development was done in C++(11) and Python was used for testing.

OneMarketData is a provider of solutions for high frequency financial data processing and analytics. I was mainly engaged in expansion of OneTick's multi-language APIs (C++, C#, Java, Python and Perl), and optimization of cross-language communication protocols for increased API performance. I have also done design and implementation of minor features for company's OneTick product line, as well as new data collectors. Main development has been done in C++ and Perl has been used for testing. C#, Java, Python and Perl were also used for API tests.
