Im presently a Senior Software Development engineer working on IBM General Parallel File Systems(GPFS) and IBM Software RAID. GPFS is marketed by IBM as ‘Spectrum Scale’ and the RAID software is marketed as ‘Elastic Storage Server’. GPFS is a high performance, scalable, clustered parallel file system. My role in the team is to design, develop and debug complex GPFS/Software RAID software, handle customer issues and interact with customers directly and defects screening. I was a Software Development Engineer working on different areas of NetApp Storage Systems. I worked on chiefly two areas – Performance of Storage Systems and Non Disruptive Upgrades of Storage Systems. I was involved in design, development, debugging customer issues and coordination with product management, test teams, and documentation teams. • Worked on development of software to identify heavily accessed objects (files/directories/LUNs) in NetApp Storage System. • Worked on performance collection tools which depict the current performance of NetApp storage system using various IO counters & Quality of Service (QoS). • Worked on development of Storage sizing tools which intelligently analyses the target work load of the customer along with expected throughput and predicts the desired storage and compute requirements. • Worked on Non Disruptive Upgrades of Storage Systems.

Worked as a software developer on Novell Directory Services (NDS) which is similar to LDAP(Light Weight Directory Access Protocol) and NFS Protocol . It provides seamless access to files & directories stored on Novell Operating Systems (NetWare & Suse Linux) and also access to Enterprise Directory Services. Also worked on Novell Client which is a front end to Novell Directory Services. • Worked on development of Nautilus Plugin for Novell Client on Gnome 2.4 on Suse Linux. • Worked on feature enhancement, debugging and fixing defects and customer issues for NDS and Novell Client.
