Lunar Lighting Simulation and Moon Phases Senior Design Project Sponsored By JPL, CSULA • Maintained code usability in a group of five students by providing a module for JPL to simulate realistic lighting conditions for their Moon Trek web application during the senior design project required for all senior computer science student • Used legacy POV-Ray, CSPICE, Linux, and C++ to turn DEM (Digital Elevation Models) into accurate and realistic lighting conditions of the lunar surface PNG files • Directed the team to keep their code in line with Object Oriented Programming structure and illustrate how much it will cost post-production than fixing it at pre-production
