I worked as Software Developer in Query Optimizer of Teradata RDBMS. Optimizer is one of the primary components in Teradata Query Parsing Engine. The objective of Optimizer is to select the best Query Execution Plan. It takes decision by doing a lot of rule-based rewrites as well as by a solid cost-based model based on statistical analysis.
