Led application teams with onboarding applications to internal Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment(CI/CD) platform. • Resolved IT service management (ITSM) tickets created in JIRA related to build and deployment errors that obstructed testing or creation of artifacts such as compiled code, libraries, or configuration files necessary for testing or subsequent CD phases. Resolving tickets less than SLA resulted in a reduction in latency and increased application uptime. • Created comprehensive playbooks for leveraging modern software repositories, like GitHub, that enabled the training and adoption of DevSecOps practices and the use of CI/CD pipelines. Applications transitioned to CI/CD led to reduction of migration complexities and improved application quality. • Orchestrated and participated in daily SCRUM meetings, collaborating closely with colleagues and customers to gather and share work status, project increment(PI) planning, and to update or refine backlog to ensure clear focus on sprints. This assisted in aligning and fostering a partnership that was pivotal in driving DevSecOps pipeline improvements, increase adoption, and growth across Aetna and CVS, encompassing Retail, Pharmacy, and Health Care Benefits segments. • Integrated third-party APIs (i.e. Checkmarxx), linting, code fixes, or enhancements for java spring boot application, called DSOMM, designed to capture application metrics such as test automation score, code quality, and performance metrics that assisted in peer reviews. Reviews led to recommendations for improvements and identification of bottlenecks. • Collaborated with engineers and developers to develop Groovy, YAML, or Python scripts for pipeline creation or enhancement, resulting in 33% increase in unit testing, 26% reduction in code duplication, 67% reduction in defect leakage, 22% reduction in P1/P2 incidents, and a 6% improvement in overall productivity captured in department’s DevSecOps Maturity Model(DSOMM) application. • Utilized Enterprise Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Maven, Checkmarxx, Nessus, and SonarQube for version control, unit testing, behavioral-driven development, quality analysis, and automated testing to build and facilitate strong working CI/CD pipelines. Incorporated infrastructure as code (terraforms), configuration management (ansible or chef), and automated deployment steps in build scripts to assist with performance and consistent configuration plans. • Supervised the work of programmers to meet milestones for windows standardization project where SSIS and MSI (Desktop) apps were moved from a manual deployment process to automated. Setting up apps for automated deployments resulted in a reduction in JIRA and ServiceNow tickets. • Spearheaded the migration of IIB scripts from Urban Code Deploy to the Octopus Deploy platform by refactoring deployment scripts from shell to Python, introducing a resilient file-copying process (rsync). Employed a subprocess module to manage and leverage bash commands from the original shell script. • Developed a sample microservices CI/CD pipeline to include SQL script migrations that leveraged Flyway for deployment and SQLFluff for database linting. The effort resulted in a reduction in overhead by utilizing cloud resources such as Virtual Machines with Bastion authentication to facilitate testing and vetting pipeline design.

Conducted goal-oriented interactions with development team members to implement enhancements or bug fixes. Led and drove closure for open items. • Engineered a dynamic table for the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) displaying provider/physician information, supported by a backend stored procedure utilizing pivot tables. This architecture allowed for dynamic page generation tailored to specific user requests. The page was integrated with embedded C# code and JavaScript libraries, combined with a data model class designed for seamless interaction with SQL databases. • Utilized Software Control Management software, such as IBM ClearCase or Team Foundation Server, to track file changes for projects and service request during SDLC and developed system and application flowcharts to analyze existing processes. Flowcharts helped to provide a visual representation of application and helped to describe key processes to business partners as well as current bottlenecks. • Performed unit, integration (end to end), and user-acceptance testing using detailed test plans and scripts to ensure code stability and quality using IBM ClearQuest or rational team concert. Generated defect reports on application components related to performance issues and bad coding practices in preparation of quality assurance meetings. These meetings consisted of code reviews that helped to identify issues and reduced impacts on business units. • Implemented robust authentication and authorization methods for SIU assets, including CaseTracker and FACTs. Utilized Single Sign-On (SSO) and Windows-based authentication, incorporating functionality like SiteMinder and SQLRoleProvider to assist in identify access management. These enhancements ensured compliance with audit requirements, strengthening data security for the department's applications. • Managed code analysis reports and application setup using WebLayers by creating Windows batch scripts that interfaced with mainframe and IBM ClearCase to extract source code files for analysis. This process allowed for a comprehensive assessment of the department's technology assets, identifying vulnerabilities, security issues, and code quality problems. The process involved the use and modification of Linux shell scripts and Java code to generate reports using Eclipse BIRT software. • Fabricated SSIS jobs responsible for extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes that pulled data from enterprise data warehouse for case setup related to fraud, waste, and abuse referrals. The reports helped to consolidate provider or member data to simplify some investigative processes for investigators. • Improved application performance by updating and tuning .NET model classes linked to SQL stored procedures by modifying or adding indexes, using datatypes with less bytes, and use of table views within SQL Server Database. The effort reduced data load times for most application web pages. • Interpreted complex business requirements into technical specifications for .NET, mainframe, java, or JavaScript applications. The process resulted in the revision of .NET classes and tuning of SQL stored procedure, updates to COBOL and JCL (Job Control Language), or updates to functions and adding JavaScript libraries. The enhancements reduced customer complaints and removed bugs improving user sessions. • Coordinated release activities for application components that were existing or new scheduled for planned production deployments through the design of project plans, delegating meetings and submitting Remedy or SNOW tickets.
