The project of the internship is "Calculating Criticality for Uranium in the solving-extraction process and the settling process on Pilot Conversion Plant". The objective is to know the safety measures of the equipment in Experimental Fuel Element Installation (IEBE) facilities if PTBBN wants to process 5% or more enriched Uranium 235. The project calculates the criticality of each tank (with Monte Carlo N-Particle software) in the IEBE facilities with varying enriched Uranium 235 from 0.7% to 20%. The result concluded that IEBE facilities can handle processing 5% enriched Uranium 235.
