Worked under the File Management System Team, focusing on resolving bugs, impediments, and issues related to file and cache management. Enhanced Fileop, a performance analysis tool for file operations, by implementing a filtering feature to analyze operation-specific performance. Added support for file rename and directory rename operations in FileOp, followed by extensive testing and debugging to ensure correctness. Optimized the existing cache algorithm to maximize hit rates within a single-node cache, improving throughput and efficiency. Contributed to cache management optimization by comparing the performance of the existing Least Recently Used (LRU) algorithm with a modified version. Conducted performance benchmarking and analysis to evaluate improvements between the old and modified caching algorithms.
