Rules

1. 1.    This is strictly an individual online event open to all students.


2. 2.    The duration of the event is 5 days (7200 minutes)


3. 3.    The contest will be hosted on Hackerrank.


4. 4.    To particpate contestant will have to first register at hackerrank and then at excel with          the same email id.


5. 5.    Participants registered on both Excel and Hackerrank websites will only be eligible for         prizes.


6. 6.    Codes should be in C. No other language will be accepted.


7. 7.    There will be a total of 30 questions.


8. 8.    Questions will be of three types and scoring pattern is as follows:
9.      >>Easy             5 points
10.      >>Medium     7 points
11.      >>Hard           10 points


12. 9.    The program submitted by the participant will be considered correct if it gives the         expected output for all the test cases.


13. 10.    The ranking is done as follows:
14.      >>The one with the highest score is ranked first.
15.      >>In case if 2 or more persons have the same score, then they are ranked by the least total           time taken to solve all the problems.
16.      >>The total time is the sum of the time consumed for each problem solved. The time           consumed for a solved problem is the time elapsed from the beginning of the contest to           the submittal of the accepted run plus 20 minutes for each rejected run. There is no time           consumed for a problem that is not solved.


17. 11.    If any malicious activity like submitting the duplicate code is detected the user account            will be deleted without prior notice.


18. 12.    Rules are subject to change at any point in time.
