For nearly two years I was responsible for conducting the tests executed by the FX back-end team - which consist in validating the rules encompassed in the range of FX operations and instruments (e.g. swaps, forwards, spots and NDFs) offered by our sell-side application, as well as analysing the exchanges of messages through the FIX protocol. As a part of an agile culture, my responsibilities consisted, but were not limited to manual testing of new features and bugs, bug tracking on Jira, configuration of the different types of environments required for the test execution and updates to the different sectors depending on the FX back-end efforts. I was also responsible for the maintenance and improvements of the FX integration test suite - a suite containing over 200 automated tests developed in Java, stored on GitLab and executed in a daily basis through the use of continuous integration with Jenkins. At the present moment, I am part of the team responsible for the development and support of FlexTrade's FlexNOW - the first cloud-based multi-asset EMS for buy-side traders - where I am responsible for signing off new releases, besides developing automation tests in C# and API tests with Postman and JavaScript.
