Project Statement: Automated Detection of Sand Dunes On Mars Surface. Created a dataset from a given single MRO HiRISE satellite image, rotating it by various angles and dividing it to further small images Applied image classification technique LBP to differentiate terrain from dune because the texture of all dunes is similar but different from that of terrain Implemented image segmentation technique U-net, trained it on a dataset of images and it's corresponding segmented images Learned some image processing and classification techniques.
