I worked as a part of the Media team over the course of the summer using the Agile methodology in bi-weekly sprints. Besides completing general development tasks for the team, I worked to develop backend software to integrate closed captioning into Resi's video encoding machines. After implementing initial support, I tested third-party support for closed captions across various hardware encoders and streaming platforms to determine the system's limitations and what further work needed to be done. Towards the end of my internship I investigated and prototyped a native GStreamer implementation for an in-development Android system.
