Management then reviews and evaluates inventions based upon corporate criteria in conjunction with eventual processing of approvals by the Legal department.     Mayo Clinic Rochester•  August 2005 - October 2010

    Large-scale medical Database migration (SQL server/MS Access to Sybase) for Mayo Organ Transplant System. (C++/C#, 600 tables, 400 stored procedures, 10 000+ patient records, 7 organ sections). 40+ new ActiveX modules (GUI and backend) implemented for Blood and Marrow Transplant, Kidney Transplant, and Diseased Donors sections of database. Planning and incorporating new C#.NET technologies by: Interfacing new C# components with unmanaged environment. These project scopes assist staff in performing the following key tasks : a) administration of transplant organs, b) checking donor/recipient assignments, c) medicine assignments, d) checking for donor-recipient incompatibility, e) performing statistical studies based on old/new patients. Other department assignments: 1) design of new Serum Bank precision label printer software, 2) modification of overnight processes that collect data from Mayo Clinic labs, 3) technical advisor re addition of Bar Coding capabilities to patient lab result sheets, 4) single-handed full Life-cycle development of Real-Time Heart-Lung Transplant Organ Recipient Waiting List (C#.NET Web app for Blackberries). (Used as an immediate first line assessment tool by 'on call' transplant surgeons to match recipient organ compatibility to donor in critical first minutes after notification. Replaced time-lag PDF reports emailed weekly.) Tools Used: C++, MFC, C#, SQL Server, COM, ActiveX, ATL, ADO, Sybase, Java, Visual Studio.
