Role: software engineer .Net 5 (100% in english) Developed unit tests and integration tests for several high-complexity financial systems. Also implemented new functionalities and applied corrections to the source code. His job title was software engineer, but with strong emphasis on software architecture and programming at specialist level. Besides the development work, he also used messaging (RabbitMQ), Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud computing (Pivotal Cloud Foundry). Some accomplishments: - Developed hundreds of complex unit tests which guaranteed correct logic of existing source code, which will eventually also avoid breaking existing functionalities and/or logic in future corrections or implementations - Unit tests used advanced mocking to simulate normal flow scenarios, as well as exception flow scenarios, guaranteeing extremely high code quality - Integration tests were developed to guarantee correct execution of (parts of) systems - Unit tests required much source code to be enhanced, corrected, or even rewritten, consequently making source code quality even higher and much more robust - Clean Coding enhanced readability and future maintenance of source code - Performance tuning enabled code to execute more efficiently - DevOps work, including corrections in existing CI/CD pipelines, deployed systems to PCF and other infrastructures - Specialized software development know-how was used to deliver the utmost high quality code
