Medical Device Center Lab Intern

Spring 2016 to Summer 2017 Project Goal: Develop a device that facilitates skin-to-skin contact after a cesarean operation. This will benefit labor nurses and anesthesiologists. Spring 2017 Project Goal: Build an anchoring prototype that will assist a Surgical Simulation Fellow for tube thoracotomy (SolidWorks stress analysis). Spring 2016 Project Goal: Develop a life-sized version of the game Operation using Arduino for teaching kids and parents about medical devices (known as Operation Goldy). Spring 2015 Project Goal: Coordinate with other MDC Lab Interns and biomedical engineers to design Arduino lesson plans and the Zoetrope capstone project for future MDC Interns (C++). This includes introducing them to the lab's medical devices and tools.
