Worked with multiple product lines within the company as well as mentoring the Junior and Mid-level developers on the team. Used my CI/CD experience and pipeline experience to work with our architect to help improve the performance and expand the functionality of our systems. Converted all of the project dependencies from various .Net framework versions to 4.8 as a step towards eventually getting everything converted over to .Net Standard and Core. It was due to infrastructure, licensing, and 3rd party libraries that we couldn’t just straight to Core at that time. Upgraded our custom Reverse POCO tool up to Core 6 and was working out the bugs in its CS file model creation of the models for the tables in the SQL Server DB.

As the Product Owner and Scrum Master, I would elicit requirements from the stakeholders and turn those requirements into groomed features and stories with acceptance criteria for the team to be able to develop the solutions that were needed by the stakeholders to meet the company’s goals. This also included identifying risks and limitations based on research with Infrastructure & Architecture Teams as well as UX & UI teams. During PI planning we would expand the base Epics into features as needed and into stories to be developed. Through management of the backlog and the daily scrum, I helped guide the team through multiple production iterations and sprints to deliver software solutions on proprietary hardware to improve the company’s position in the industry as well as to help maximize the ROI of the projects that my Java team was working on. We had regular backlog refinement sessions throughout the PI to ensure that our backlog consistently met the current priority of business and stakeholders.

Helped to consolidate multiple departmental applications into one core application. Helped to align the new application with multiple EDW systems to one UDW system to help aid in the consistency of data and with the new application we were also improving the user experience and making the system for viewing and entering the data much more user friendly. The overall process required many SQL queries including inserts, updates, and deletes to be written for Microsoft SQL Server and for Oracle. I used my UI/UX background to aid the project in being a good median delivery of what the users wanted and what the business wanted. This position was a 100% work-from-home position that allowed me to show my self-discipline of still being able to meet my deliverables without the need to be in the physical office as well as to use the tools that technology has today to be able to have meetings and even demo the product remotely.

Build an application for Butler County’s “Job and Family Services” that took all of the MS Excel sheets that they were using along with an internal application that they already had and consolidated it all into one central application as well as helping with the architectural design of the application and database to accomplish this task. I worked in all roles of the SDLC for the application except for the Project Manager with was my onsite manager. My teammate, Mark, and I had a few meetings to go over the tech that we were using and the findings that we had of things we had accomplished and were having challenges with to see if we could help each other with any roadblocks that may have popped up. We were working with .Net Core in its infancy before there were many resources on it, so we had to figure out a lot of it together.

Worked as a Tester / QA for the same application then moved to test manager over the following year. For the last year with Humana, I was an IT Business Analyst. During the last few months of that as a Product Owner alongside being an IT BA and covering a Business Owner role.
