AI Research Engineer

I have developed a web application that predicts the flight delay time based on a machine learning system which was developed using the data provided by the biggest Tunisien company for 3 years (2016, 2017, and 2018) with some additional data sets like The World Weather Online API and the Global Airport Database. I have worked on a full ML Pipeline including data preprocessing, features engineering, train, validation, and test splitting of the data, modeling, and hyperparameters tuning. For the web application development, I have used Flask API for the back end and Javascript, and, Bootstrap for the Front End. I have also used Docker so that the application can be portable between different systems. Finally, I have used Git and Gitlab to track the advancement of the application during the full Project.

During this internship, I have intensified my knowledge in the field of spatial and temporal outliers. We have used New York City crime data for the 2017 year. First, through the data preprocessing phase I have extracted only spatial and temporal data and I have changed their structure to be categorical by Geohash and Timehash algorithms Then I have applied Map Reduce AVF algorithm on the data to detect outliers from categorical data. However, the result has shown that my work had successfully detected temporal outliers but it wasn't the same case for spatial outliers. I have used Java, Apache Spark, Apache Hadoop for the development of the algorithm Also, Angular and, firebase for the developement of the app presenting the results

I have developed a web application that allows citizens to pay taxes of municipality online and check city actualities. Also, I built an administration part for the municipality that allows it to register citizen real estate, taxes payment control, add actualities of the city, and directly contact citizens by sending them Emails and SMS from the application. I have used Javascript, Bootstrap, J2EE, and Mysql for the development of the app.
