Was part of the SaaS Backup product team, a cloud-native SaaS product focussing on providing data protection (backup, restore, advanced search) for SaaS services like O365 (OneDrive for business, Exchange Online etc.)and Salesforce.com. Responsibilities: Lead a group of developers in design and development of new features and enhancements of existing features, DB query optimizations and general performance optimizations of microservices, contribute to architecture discussions and code reviews. Impact: Delivered multiple optimizations for existing features in production yielding 10x+ improvements in many cases, designed and developed new features from scratch while helping maintain existing features. Performance improvements helped improve efficiencies by bringing down operational costs in the cloud. Awards: Multiple spot awards and recognitions. My focus was on the development of innovative features/products which are aligned with the latest technology trends in data management. Worked on adding data management features for distributed systems,e.g. storage capacity balancing in clustered filesystems using data clustering techniques, building a distributed petabyte-scale archival storage product etc. Responsibilities: Contribute to innovation pipelines, design and develop new features and beta products that could become future product offerings. Impact: Led multiple projects to successful completion through product impacts. Also co-authored several patents and research publications at leading Computer Science conferences like Usenix, IEEE and more.
