As a senior solution architect, I am responsible for determining the architecture of applications, designing the API layer using microservices, identifying independent functionalities that can be developed and deployed as microservices, integrating the application with backend services, managing the work of developers and DevOps, implementing a Cloud Foundry architecture using Kubernetes, using Netflix OSS for service discovery and administration, and serving as a liaison between the business and technical teams to convert business requirements into technical requirements. I also play a role in tool selection.

As a software developer, my core responsibilities include providing application development services or technical support, developing and modifying program logic, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting software applications. I also maintain, test, and integrate application components, make recommendations for new code or code reuse, ensure system improvements are successfully implemented, demonstrate an understanding of FIS systems and the financial services industry, write technical specifications and other forms of documentation, suggest technical alternatives and improve/streamline processes and systems, and complete project assignments and special projects. I may also participate in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation, and buy vs. build recommendations, and may provide leadership and guidance to other technical professionals. Other related duties may be assigned as needed.
