Work Experience
Software Engineer
TERA-HZ MİKROELEKTRONİK,•  August 2023 - October 2023
 I got the task of using the OAI-NB-IoT-ntust branch to develop a stand-alone software package for NB-IoT-PHY layer (algorithms and DSP routines) that can interface with a general base station solution.  Completed the study of the OAI code structure with special focus on ITTI (inter task interface) and multithreading and got to a very good level in gaining the needed knowledge towards the goal. Then the project was put on hold by the client.
Senior Software Engineer
Mentor Graphics•  January 2008 - June 2014
was the team lead for the Calibre-PEX team working on the development and maintenance of the tool and rewrite it in C++ while maintaining all functionality and improved functionality and scalability.  Modeling the parasitic of common silicon structures for different processes and technologies.  Improved the parasitic model extraction accuracy and computational time through research studies which outcomes had been integrated into the tool.  Initiated and led the efforts of extraction tool refactoring (from outdated geni-scripting to C++) using UML modeling and design patterns.  Explored and investigated domains adjacent to parasitic extraction such as substrate noise coupling and statistical timing analysis.
Software Engineer
IBM•  September 1993 - July 1996
 Designed and implemented object-oriented client/server database application using C & C++  Implemented and maintained data retrieval application under both VM and MVS using PLAS, PLX, and REXX.
Education
University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, Ann Arbor
Electrical Engineering, PhD•  August 1996 - July 2000
completed my thesis "MMW Scattering By Tree Trunk and Surrounding Environment, Modeling & Analysis", in 2000. I won my scholarship in RadLab (Radiation Laboratory) where i performed my study on MMW (35 & 95 GHz) scattering and studies DSP as a minor.
Cairo University
Electrical Engineering, MS•  September 1993 - July 1996
I completed my MSc. degree with my thesis "Analysis and Design of RF Structures Used for Linear Accelerators" in 1996. in this thesis i developed a C++ code based on the modal expansion technique for analyzing and design of RF linear accelerator.
