As a Firmware Engineer I have been working on SMAC layer firmware for Access Points.I have been working on • replicating the bugs, • running iperf traffic and taking logs and analyzing traffic using wireshark • analyzing the coredumps when there is an error and learning to debug it using tools like gdb • removing support for older chipsets • adding debug counters to study Tx and Rx packets paths • learnt a lot about source code management using git and gerrit. Until now I have worked on bugs related to MIMO,OFDMA,PMF(protected management frame),and optimized the code to occupy lesser memory,and studied a bit about driver.
