I got exposure to Laravel framework and devops tools like Git and GitHub for collaboration purpose. I got a chance to work solely on a project and to work collaboratively on few projects where I had worked on few modules of the project. Bombay Leprosy Project•  August 2018 - May 2020

I was accountable to manage a team of 7 people and to develop a system which can reduce the problems faced by the doctors and volunteers working at BLP (Bombay Leprosy Project). Challenges which I faced and overcame: 1) Understanding how they work and what the disease is was a big challenge as I had no idea about what Leprosy is and its severity. - I along with my team worked in a agile methodology with doctors and volunteers, by this I was able to get more knowledge about how they worked and what is Leprosy. I have attended seminars conducted by doctors and for on field knowledge and to spread awareness I went for survey in Asia's largest slum area. 2) Complex Database Structure - There were several records of patients to be stored like patient's past medical history, patient's known leprosy contacts, and so on. All these are to be linked properly which took around 20 tables in the database. 3) Database Connectivity - Handling more than 20 tables and and connecting it to a 5 page form was a tedious task. 4) Web Hosting - Managing bugs which were there while hosting the project and making the website secured by adding SSL certificate. 5) Securing the admin side - As multiple patient's EHR (Electronic Health Record) was involved it is very necessary to secure the website. For this purpose added captcha, multiple hashes to encrypt password and making the website robust to SQL injection attack. Adding to these I have developed a rule based algorithm to classify leprosy into its types based on its sign and symptoms. Moreover, I along with my teammate have published a technical paper which includes the details for the development of rule based as well as Machine Learning (SVM and Logistic Regression) approach for classification. This classification involved applying various technologies like text mining, natural language processing, data preprocessing, generating corpus, etc.
