Interned on the software development team at Dr. Jill Mesirov's cancer genomics and bioinformatics laboratory. Collaborated with the Moore Cancer Center (MCC) Molecular Tumor Board (MTB) to develop the MCC MTB Drug Database. Created a data visualization dashboard for oncologists at Rady Children's Hospital to display chemotherapy drug efficacy metrics across various pediatric brain tumors. Engineered a dynamic, interactive, Docker-containerized Dash application using Python, Plotly, and Pandas. Implemented Agile Methodology, utilized version control tools, authored documentation for the project codebase, and conducted code reviews.

Software Engineering Intern

Boeing•  June 2022 - August 2022•  El Segundo, CA

Interned with the Boeing Satellite Systems Ground System Engineering team. Contributed to the Universal Procedure Generator (UPG) project, a software tool that delivers satellite command and function documentation to clients. Developed the Image Captioning Engine (ICE), a proof-of-concept model for a new UPG software tool that automatically labels images and figures in UPG documentation. Employed Go for backend operations and leveraged TypeScript, HTML, and SASS/SCSS for frontend processes. Implemented Agile Methodology, utilized version control tools, integrated unit and automated regression tests, authored documentation for the project codebase, and conducted code reviews.
