Master Thesis: The purpose of the project is to detect different emotions from speech. The project has a novel approach unlike existing approaches in the literature. In this approach, speech features which are defined emotions are extracted using pattern mining technique. Later, these features are combined with acoustic features in literature in order to improve classification accuracy. Especially, in classification, two different classification techniques are used, namely maximum voting and Directed Acyclic Graph Support Vector Machines(DAGSVM). The project was implemented in Matlab, Eclipse, and LibSVM.
