As a lead developer, I am involved in the following duties : 1. Developing backend services using microservices based pattern/framework, leveraging cassandra for storage and kafka for event streaming. 2. Engaging with the devops team on designing canary release deployment strategies on Microsoft Azure cloud. 3. Involved in PoT and PoC with architectural teams for benchmarking Microsoft Azure technologies against Kafka, Cassandra, DynaTrace. 4. Performing code governance activities like code reviews, educating team on coding guidelines and best practices

Software Modernization : This project aimed at modernizing legacy application using Re-engineering technique. The legacy application for medical claim settlement was transformed by adopting Service Oriented Architecture(SOA). 1. Creating the contracts(WSDL) for interaction with various existing and new components. 2. Setting up the wiring for communication using SOAP based web services. 3. Cultivating intelligence in the system for automatically settling medical claims using IBM ODM. 4. Creating a back end j2EE app deployed on IBM Websphere to process the claims on scheduled time and interact with various stakeholders to complete the transactions.
