Project theme: Capture of traffic generated by mobile applications The Adopnet team (https://www-adopnet.irisa.fr/fr/) of the IRISA laboratory (https://www.irisa.fr/) via the SRCD department has developed a tool called PANDORE for traffic analysis exchanged between any terminal and a 4G/5G network. A terminal to be studied is placed in a Faraday cage containing a private 4G/5G access and the tool captures all the messages exchanged and can determine the servers contacted. The internship consists of installing applications on several smartphones, using PANDORE and collecting measurements. The time was devoted mainly to the collection of measurements. Part of the time was devoted to the visualization in summary form of the measurements collected. The internship was an opportunity to discover an applied research laboratory (IRISA team), the interest of having experimental platforms and measurement methodologies.
